Doug McAuliffe is a media strategist, director and editor. His media work is known for finding the pinpoint intersection between the strategic and creative.

Doug’s political career began in Vermont where he worked for Governor Richard Snelling, U.S. Senator Bob Stafford and as an Assistant to Vermont Speaker of the House Stephen Morse.
In Washington DC, Doug served as a Regional Field Director for the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), as a Chief of Staff to Congressman Bill Schuette (MI) and as a staff member of the House Budget Committee.
He served as a Liaison to the Republican members of Congress for President George H.W. Bush’s presidential campaign and he has managed campaigns for Congress, U.S. Senate and Governor.
In 1996 Doug founded Doug McAuliffe Strategic Creative and its production company Chatham Light Media LLC. His commercial and film work has received twenty-six creative awards.
Under Doug’s leadership DMSC’s focus is crafting smart, well thought out strategies and winning messages and executing those strategies and messages with creative adverting.

Doug has written about his alpine ski adventures in the Andes Mountains of South America and the European Alps. He is an accomplished technical rock-climber having recorded first ascent climbs in Colorado, Utah, Vermont and New York. Doug is also a skilled yachting captain.
Doug resides in Great Falls, Virginia and Chatham, Massachusetts with his wife Ingrid, their four children and English Lab, Wellfleet.
